Short-Term Program

You only need a valid travel document (passport). Students from some countries may require a Temporary Resident Visa. Please contact the nearest Canadian Embassy, Consulate, or Trade Commission or Citizenship & Immigration Canada for more information.

Academic Program

You will require a Study Permit. Once you have initiated the application process and received a Letter of Acceptance Guarantee from the MEI office, you may apply for a Study Permit from the visa section of the nearest Canadian Embassy, Consulate, or Trade Commission. The visa application process may take over eight weeks, so apply as early as possible.

In addition, students from some countries may require a Temporary Resident Visa. Please contact the Canadian Embassy, Consulate, or Trade Commission or Citizenship & Immigration Canada for more information on obtaining a Study Permit or Temporary Resident Visa.

Note: The Mennonite Educational Institute has no influence over the visa application process. Please direct all inquiries regarding your visa application to the local Canadian Embassy, Consulate, or Trade Commission.
